The second layer catches smaller particles visible to the naked eye such as coarse sand, dirt, and dust mites. The third layer filters out minute particulates some of which would be visible to the naked eye like finer sand, pollen, saw dust, face makeup, and fibers. The 4th layer filters out microscopic particulates invisible to the naked eye like silt, dust, silk, mold spores and dander. Finally, the fifth layer filters out even smaller microscopic particulates like cells and some bacteria.</p> <p>Then if you look at the filter housing, typical spas have a filter bypass. This means that when you turn the jets on high, some of the water goes around the filter and some gets filtered through the filter. With the ProFilter, 100% of the water going in through the skimmer gets filtered even with the jets are on high speed.<br> We have also added more technology to make these filters smart. You can check the status of your filters by just a couple of clicks on the Arctic Spa App on your phone. It will actually tell you when to replace the filter or even if the filter is not installed properly. This is much better than the alternative of cloudy water.<br> We also look at efficiency as an important aspect of managing your Arctic Spa.
